This story first appeared in Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Fantasy Magazine, issue 9, September 1990.
The Lesser Twin eBook Elisabeth Waters
Which twin was greater? Karina, the twin who was the student priestess (and mistress) of a wizard? Or Kiara, her sister, who did the housework and cooked the meals? They accepted those roles and lived in the tower of the wizard
Tarnor, until Kiara rescued Karina from one of Tarnor's lessons. And Tarnor, unintentionally and unknowingly,
became the cause of a great transformation.
Once again Waters has told a tale of the role of women in a medieval society that echoes down the ages to our own.
Would that we had magical creatures that came to our aid.

The Lesser Twin eBook Elisabeth Waters Reviews
I look for all of her short stories. this one is okay, not as good as some of her other stories, but worth the money. I did like the final twist, I expected a different ending.
it's a pretty good story, kind of short on plot, but it is only a few pages long. Elizabeth Waters writes fairly well, but she'll never be mistaken for Marian Zimmer Bradley or Anne McCaffrey.
